War in Ukraine
“We so tired of the war. I just want it all to be over soon.” Anya wearily stated. She is just one of millions of war refugees who want to go home and peace to come to her country. Messiah’s Compassion is reaching out to her and to others both outside and inside Ukraine who need a voice of hope speaking into their lives. With your generosity, we have purchased hundreds of food bags, medicines and have assisted for temporary housing, etc. for Jewish and Slavic war victims and refugees. (photo lower right): Messiah’s Compassion helped this Jewish refugee family with finding a temporary apartment in the Czech Republic. These practical helps are opening the doors of people’s hearts to hear the good news of Messiah Jesus (Yeshua). Please earnestly pray for Jewish and non-Jewish people to sincerely turn to the LORD in these times of upheaval.
Humanitarian Aid
Messiah’s Compassion, partnering with two other Pentecostal ministries, worked to send humanitarian aid to those remaining inside Ukraine, assisted in the purchase of a ministry vehicle for Moldova believers, and purchased washing machine for refugees who were staying with a Jewish Messianic family in Warsaw. (photo upper right). -Praises to our LORD that I was able to safely retrieve the ministry van out of Kyiv recently. Air sirens, roadblock checkpoints, and fuel shortages are now commonplace in the capital. Amazingly, the LORD provided for each step by car and train for the journey to Kyiv from Czechia through Poland. I am truly grateful for God’s protection. - Messiah’s Compassion has increased the amount of support for projects sent to Haifa, ISRAEL for Return to Zion Ministries; in a recent two-week period, they assisted 300 new immigrant / refugee families from Ukraine.
Jews in Czech Republic
Brno, Czechia is the second largest city in its nation. Even after WWII, it has a small Jewish community with a synagogue. I was able to visit there in May, meeting some of the Jewish men. The Israeli security guards at the door questioned me, but then allowed me to enter the building. As they prayed in Hebrew throughout the service, I prayed for them to receive a revelation of Messiah Jesus (Yeshua) in order to have abundant life. One man particularly showed kindness to me by helping me with the Siddur (Prayer Book) in Czech and Hebrew languages. He, being an Israeli, born in Ukraine, had moved to Brno about 17 years. Please pray for the six to ten thousand Jewish people residing in the Czech Republic. Pray that Messiah’s Compassion will be directed to open doors to serve and reach Jewish people in central Europe too.
