Fall 2018 Newsletter

From fear to faith in his Messiah, a retired Jewish medical doctor prayed for shalom and forgiveness in Kyiv!

David was one of eleven during this September in Ukraine to enter in to right relationship with Jesus as his LORD. David had felt some real guilt for some unresolved issues after his elderly mother passed away a few years ago. He did his best to make jokes to cover his deep pain, but the Holy Spirit beautifully drew him to trust us and share his deepest hurts and fears. We rejoice in his salvation decision that day! Pastor Leonid K. had been developing a friendship with David some weeks prior to our visit.

Food Package Deliveries

Over 200 needy Jewish homes in Kiev and Odessa received essential food packages and each Jewish family always receives prayer and hears the about the good news regarding the Messiah Jesus (Yeshua). I am truly grateful for my uncle Ron Simek from First AG in Prague, OK who came to serve Jewish people and Messianic congregations during their services. He was able to share his personal testimony of faith with many people. Several individuals discussed their own problems and hurts with us, and then we were able to pray for them.

For a small moment have I forsaken thee; but with great mercies will I gather thee [Israel].
— Isaiah 54:7

Jewish Ceremonies in Ukraine

Our time in Ukraine coincided with the Biblical Feasts of Trumpets and Day of Atonement. These ancient feasts that are celebrated by millions of Jewish people today and give us an opportunity to invite them to come to the Messianic Jewish congregations in Kyiv and Odessa. During the Yom Kippur services, we saw five people raise their hands to pray for salvation in the New Jerusalem congregation in Odessa! I presented the message in the light of Jesus being our perfect High Priest who needed no offering for His sin (like the priests of Old Testament) but rather He offered Himself up as a perfect sacrifice to forever wash the sins away from everyone who truly repent. Hallelujah for those who responded!

On November 27th, Jeff will depart again to Ukraine for upcoming Hanukkah out reaches in three cities. Especially we cherish your prayers for going out to southeast Ukraine not far from the war zone area near Russia where Jewish families with children with disabilities will receive compassion food packages and receive prayer ministry. After a few weeks in Ukraine, Jeff will be going to meet with Messianic Jewish leaders in Israel. A lot of prayer and discussion is going to take place for being involved in the right projects. Your faithful support and intercessory prayers for our family and ministry are absolutely and highly valued!

We appreciate all that you do to bless Jewish people in various ways through this ministry of Messiah’s Compassion.
