WWII Survivor
Emilya gladly shared about her life growing up as a Jewish child and how her grandmother covered her and her sister during WWII Nazi aircraft bombings. During some visits with food packages for Jewish people, we took my acoustic guitar and sang some classic Hebrew songs for the elderly in their apartments in Kyiv. The songs brought tears of joy to the eyes of Emilya in the upper left photo. She fled the warzone in East Ukraine about six years ago and has not been able to return to her home. She has many questions, but an open heart to hear more about the God of Israel and how He sent His Son as Messiah. Please pray for Emilya and others like her.
Continued Food Deliveries
Thank you so much for making these visits possible with your consistent generous donations for food packages. Jewish families in three cities of Kyiv, Odessa and Zaporozhe received ministry and food packages. We share the good news of Messiah Jesus (Yeshua) and pray for their needs. It was a special blessing to make the trip to Odessa and minister in two congregations, “New Jerusalem” and “The Promised Land”. Gennady and I made multiple visits to Jewish homes about five or six people prayed for salvation during that Hanukkah ministry week! The Holy Spirit keeps drawing the chosen ones back to the God of their fathers. It is our LORD’s prophetic plan that was spoken to Abraham so long ago. What a joy for me to even be a small part of it! Please keep interceding for Israel, the Jewish people in Ukraine and around the world.
Praises
After many months of prayer, working on paperwork, and even traveling to Serbia for a visa, I (Jeff) finally received the one-year temporary resident status for Ukraine! Hallelujah. Thank you for praying for this huge milestone to be able to serve the Jewish communities, the children of Israel. Messiah’s Compassion, by the LORD’s empowerment, is blessing hundreds of Jewish people in Ukraine and Israel.
The Kyiv and Odessa Jewish Messianic congregations continue to meet during the various COVID 19 restrictions. We praise our LORD that He has allowed us to continue services and likewise to stream services via the internet. We have some very special seasons of worship and prayer times, even when our numbers are fewer in attendance.
We praise the LORD that over 200 Jewish families have received food packages and prayer in Kyiv, Odessa and Zaporozhe during the Hanukkah season and New Year’s 2021. Please pray for this year’s Purim and Passover outreaches!
We praise the LORD that several of us who experienced COVID-19 did not require hospitalization and have fully recovered. I personally praise Jesus for recovery, good health and His great mercies keeping me safe while in Ukraine.
Messiah’s Compassion continues to give significant support for Return to Zion congregation in Haifa, Israel. Leader L. Mazin and his team minister to new Jewish immigrants in ISRAEL from the former Soviet Union.
Messiah’s Compassion assisted with special offerings to Messianic Jewish ministries in Berlin and Munich, Germany recently. Leaders L. Kruter & I. Swiderski work specifically in reaching Russian-speaking Jews in evangelism.
With our LORD’s amazing provision, plans are underway to purchase a ministry vehicle for Messiah’s Compassion in Ukraine! - Praise the LORD for daily (internet phone) prayer meetings each morning in which believers from Ukraine, Siberia, and Germany participate.
